Almost like home

Welcome to our three star Hotels Aston and Conrad, situated in the middle of central Karlskrona. The hotel business was founded in the 70s by Conrad Wenström. Today Irene Wenström and her daughter Sofia run the hotels.

We have focused on what we think is important for a hotel guest, such as a generous breakfast, comfortable beds and a décor with a personal touch. There is also a wireless broadband Internet connection available free of charge to guests at the hotels. We also trea tour guests to a small evening buffet on weekdays between September and May. There is always coffe and tea for those who would like it. We do this because we want you to be comfortalbe when you stay with us.

Both hotels are family businesses; they have been run by the same family for almost 40 years. Aston has been in the family for 20 years. The fourth generation is on the way; they like to jump on beds and are visible in some of the photographs on the web page. They also much enjoy the Hotel Conrad court yard.  In summer there is a lot of fruit such as wild strawberries blueberries, gooseberries and blackberries, and in the fall there are apples. The children also enjoy playing in the sandbox and the swing set. Guests can enjoy their breakfast in the courtyard, or just take a break there in the afternoon sun.

The hotels are independent and have a  personal touch, giving them something of a ”Fawlty Towers” feel. Everything can happen here! Usually, however, things move along at a steady pace, with the guest at the centre of attention. A few years ago we joined the chain of independent hotels, Sweden Hotels, to give guests security and the benefit of its guest club bonus programme.
